A major breakthrough has recently been announced by China’s leading architectural design team, which has successfully won the bid for the full-package design and implementation of a super high-rise landmark project in the Middle East. This marks another milestone for China’s architectural design industry in the high-end overseas market.
Located in a prime business district of the Middle East, the project covers a total construction area of over 300,000 square meters, integrating luxury hotels, Grade-A office spaces and high-end commercial facilities. Upon completion, it will become a new iconic skyline landmark in the region. Adopting the design concept of Silk Road Sails, the scheme seamlessly integrates traditional Chinese architectural aesthetics with local Middle Eastern culture. It stood out among 27 top international design teams, thanks to its highly recognizable streamlined facade and world-leading green building technologies.
According to the project director, the team will deliver end-to-end services ranging from conceptual design and engineering development to construction and delivery. The project is scheduled for official completion in 2028.
This successful bid signifies that China’s architectural design sector is upgrading from "technology export" to "standard export", laying a solid foundation for the globalization strategy of Chinese design brands.
